Julie Duncan began teaching accounting classes at Lone Star College full-time in 2015. Her classes have included a variety of formats: in-person, hybrid, and online. Julie’s goal is to make accounting both accessible and engaging, especially for students who may not initially see the importance of accounting.
In all her classes, she strives to prepare students for a career in business by incorporating meaningful technology in the classroom such as RPA, AI, Excel, and Data Analytics.
Julie also strives to integrate her professional work experience as a Big 4 Auditor, Senior Accountant in Oil and Gas Industry, and CPA into her teaching materials.
Over the past 4 years, Julie has developed two new accounting courses: Advanced Excel Skills for Accounting and Robotic Process Automation Foundations for AAS Accounting students at Lone Star College.
