Jonathan M. Wild, PhD, CPA, is passionate about teaching. Jonathan primarily teaches
Accounting Principles, Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Intermediate
Accounting. He has taught at both two-year and four-year level colleges. Jonathan is also
passionate about creating innovative course materials and videos. He shares his materials on
his website, WildAccounting.com, and they are included with the Wild Financial & Managerial
Accounting and the Wild Fundamental Accounting Principles textbooks with McGraw Hill.
Jonathan received his BBA and Master of Accountancy from the University of
Wisconsin–Madison. He received his PhD from Oklahoma State University (chair: Dursun
Delen). Jonathan previously worked as a CPA for PwC in Assurance services. He is a member of
the American Accounting Association and TACTYC.
Jonathan’s research emphasis is on accounting transparency, corporate social responsibility,
and other financial and managerial topics. His research is published in the Review of Accounting
and Finance, the Journal of Corporate Accounting & Finance, the Journal of Accounting,
Business and Finance Research, the Journal of Financial Reporting and Accounting, and other
scholarly journals.
In his free time, Jonathan enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with his family and
friends.
