Larry G. Stephens is currently a Professor of Accounting and Assistant Department Chair of Accounting at Austin Community College District in Austin, Texas. Previously, he taught at both Blinn College and Northern Michigan University. Larry began his career in education in 2009 after more than 20 years of accounting and tax experience in the Oil and Gas and Electric Utility industries. He holds JD and LL.M. degrees from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, a Masters of Science in Taxation from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a Bachelors in Business Administration, major in Accounting, from Sam Houston State University.

Larry currently serves as the Interim VP of Conference Planning and Professional Liaison Chair for the Teachers of Accounting at Two-Year Colleges, and is an active member of the TXCPA Professional Ethics Committee and TXCPA Relations with Educational Institutions Committee. Additionally, Larry is also a member of the American Institute of CPA's, American Accounting Association, State Bar of Michigan, and the Texas Community College Teachers Association.
