Call for Proposals for 50-Minute Concurrent Sessions

(DEADLINE September 30, 2022)

Teachers of Accounting at Two-Year Colleges (TACTYC) will host its annual conference in Portland, Oregon on May 18-20, 2023. The TACTYC conference offers accounting educators, such as yourself, an opportunity to recharge and refresh their skills, as well as network with colleagues from all over the country.
Concurrent sessions are 50-minutes in length, and provide a depth of coverage on a subject relating to accounting. Presentations will be presenting in-person during our May 18-20 Conference.

Topic ideas may include (but not limited to):

    1. Financial Accounting
    2. Managerial Accounting
    3. Tax Updates
    4. Data Analytics
    5. Using Technology in Accounting
    6. Games to Learn Accounting
    7. Diversity and Inclusion in the Classroom
    8. Teaching Ethics in Accounting

An important criterion for acceptance at the TACTYC annual conference is for submissions to be publisher-agnostic teaching and learning innovations. If accepted, presenters must minimize textbook/learning system specific references in their sessions as TACTYC focuses on sharing best practices, not sales opportunities. Session participants should be able to implement the teaching and learning innovation(s) presented in the session regardless of the textbook or learning system used by the participants.

TACTYC cannot pay an honorarium or provide reimbursement for travel costs to presenters.  This session will take place in person at the conference location.  Presenters are expected to register and pay for the in person conference.
