Call for Proposals for POster / technology Session
(DEADLINE September 30, 2022)Teachers of Accounting at Two-Year Colleges (TACTYC) will host its annual conference in Portland, Oregon on May 18-20, 2023. The TACTYC conference offers accounting educators, such as yourself, an opportunity to recharge and refresh their skills, as well as network with colleagues from all over the country.
The Poster / Technology session will give the opportunity to share either an innovative teaching idea or technology hands-on demo during an interactive, hands-on experience. The
Effective Teaching Practices session will allow participants to share a
teaching idea in a poster session or at a technology hands-on
roundtable (conference attendees can roam from poster to poster gaining
new teaching ideas). Posters will display a novel teaching tip or
assignment for a course currently taught. Faculty should also be ready
to discuss how to use this tip or assignment one-on-one with conference
participants. The technology roundtables will allow presenters to
demonstrate one technology tool and discuss how they use the tool in
their course. This hands-on format provides conference participants the
opportunity to try new technology tools.
By presenting during the poster session, you will be eligible to be considered for the 2023 TACTYC Innovation in Accounting Education award. The 2023 TACTYC Innovation in Accounting award winner will receive $250, a certificate of recognition, and acknowledgement on the TACTYC website and during 2024 TACTYC conference.

Session participants should be able to implement the teaching and learning innovation(s) presented in the session regardless of the textbook or learning system used by the participants.
