Making Connections
Accounting Scholars Development Program

The AICPA and AICPA Foundation are pleased to announce the fifth summer residency program for outstanding community college students.  The Accounting Scholars Development program is offered at two locations in 2014: the University of Denver from July 6-10 and Howard University from July 20-26.

Community college students in African-American, Latino or Native-American communities are invited to participate in a college residency program where they will connect with professionals eager to help them develop their skills, learn about accounting careers,  and experience campus life.

Sponsored by the AICPA Foundation and large accounting firms, this unique, all-reasonable-expenses paid program engages students in activities to learn about accounting education at four year universities,  becoming a Certified Public Accountant, and expanding their opportunities. Learn about the program by the 2012 video, the 2013 video or by connecting with alumni on Facebook.  Alumni can tell you about the internships and other opportunities they received from program sponsors.

To apply, please visit: The application deadline is April 30, 2014.
