Join us for the 2008 TACTYC conference in San Antonio, Texas from May 15-17. Our host is the Northwest Vista Campus of Alamo Community College (http://www.accd.edu/nvc/default.asp). The conference hotel is The Menger (http://mengerhotel.com/) 1-800-345-9285. The room rate at the Menger is $130 per night and the cut off date for this rate is 4/25/2008. Conference sessions will be held at the Northwest Vista Campus on Friday and at the Menger on Saturday. Click here for the conference agenda.

As of 4/1/08, the rooms at the Menger have sold out. The $130 conference fee will be honored at the St. Anthony - A Wyndham Historic Hotel http://www.wyndham.com/hotels/SATST/main.wnt. The number for reservations is 210-227-4392 or 1-800-Wyndham. The cut off date for this rate is 4/25/2008. Reservations must be made by phone and you must mention TACTYC to receive the $130 rate.

The Menger was originally built in 1859 and it is located just across the street from the

Alamo (http://www.thealamo.org/). The hotel has an ornate lobby with access to a beautiful garden courtyard. Another courtyard with the swimming pool and hot tub is located nearby. Our registration reception will take place adjacent to one of the courtyards. If necessary, we will use the Crockett Hotel across the street as an overflow hotel. After the Thursday evening reception (6 - 8 PM at the Menger), we will all enjoy a narrated cruise on the San Antonio River (8:30 pm). The cost of the river cruise is included in the conference fee. Tickets for guests can be purchased on the boats.

Casa Rio restaurant (http://www.casa-rio.com/history.htm) on the Riverwalk, the site for the Friday night dinner, is just a half block away from the Menger (http://thesanantonioriverwalk.com/RiverWalkHistory/History4.asp). You will enjoy a deluxe Mexican dinner on the Riverwalk and then leisurely browse the area and enjoy the rest of your evening.
