Accounting Scholars Development Program

For application: www.thiswaytocpa.com/asdp

The AICPA and AICPA Foundation are pleased to announce the fourth summer residency program for outstanding community college students.  The Accounting Scholars Development program is offered at two locations in 2013: the University of Denver from July 7-11 and Howard University in Washington D.C. from July 14-18.

Community college students in African-American, Latino or Native-American communities are invited to participate in a five day college residency program where they will connect with professionals eager to help them develop their skills, learn about accounting careers,  and experience campus life.

Sponsored by the AICPA Foundation and others, this unique, all-reasonable-expenses paid program engages students in activities to learn about accounting education at four year universities,  becoming a Certified Public Accountant, and expanding their opportunities. Learn about the program by video or by connecting with alumni on Facebook.  Alumni can tell you about the internships and other opportunities they received from program sponsors.

To apply, please visit: www.thiswaytocpa.com/asdp. The application deadline is April 1, 2012.

Please direct any questions to Sharon Lassar at slassar@du.edu or 303-871-2015 at the University of Denver or husbasdp@gmail.com or 202-805-1566 at Howard University.
