Lori Hatchell earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree with an emphasis in Accounting from University of Colorado. Currently, I am a full-time accounting and business professor at Aims Community College in Greeley, Colorado. In addition, I taught at Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and have practical work experience from various accounting firms. I spent many years teaching secondary business and being the adviser of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), which is a national organization that promotes content mastery, leadership, and community service. I enjoy teaching concepts that support many career choices and am always interested in learning new ideas to enhance my classroom.

Professor Hatchell has been the Curriculum Chairperson at Aims, which oversees all curricular needs for campus program areas. She is a current member, or has been a member of the following professional organizations: American Association of Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC), Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance (AFWA), FBLA (professional membership), Colorado Business Educators (CBE), National Business Education Association (NBEA), and of course TACTYC. She has served on numerous committees supporting a variety of college missions. Professor Hatchell earned the Dean’s Faculty of the Year Award.

Lori has been married to her husband, Mickey. for over 30 years. and they have three children. In addition, she likes to read, exercise, and participate in water sports. I enjoy being on the TACTYC board and getting to know many accounting professors from across the country.
